The Crematorium hasn’t been used for over three years now and was beginning to look neglected… so we decided to give it a fresh paint job, since it is still an important part of our history. Many of our children have family members who were cremated here and occasionally they will go in to look at their pictures.
It took several days but with everyone getting involved they finally got it finished.
Our next project was the school and craft room building that needed some landscaping done and so we bought some plants from a local market and waited for the Hong Kong University students to come and help us.
It was a hot day but they worked hard on their second morning here and got the job done before noon.
The rest of the day was spent playing games (in the shade) or working in groups to learn about new things.
Everyone had a good time as usual; the University students are always well prepared and,
although they spent two days with us, to soon time came for them to go.
And so we were left alone again, to do what we do when no one is here.
Like cleaning out our ponds of big fish, so we can put more little fish in them,
or taking care of the pets in the meditation garden,
or just playing in the sandbox,
or making jewelry,
or playing chess.
Thanks to everyone who make our living here a great experience!
