Many mornings everyone walks to school, including those who do not have class that day and those who are too young to attend. We walk from classroom to classroom saying “goodbye” and “have a good day” and then make out way back home.
One morning, as a handful of us were walking back from the primary school, an empty rice bag was found. A great use of an empty rice bag is trash! so we got to work cleaning it up all along the ornate temple wall of the Buddhist Temple then along the fence surrounding Wat Opot.
Amongst the plastic bags, straws, and plastic cups, we found some broken pretty blue glass and carefully picked it up for some future craft project.
It wasn’t long before the bag was full of trash and our hearts were full of pride.
