The first children’s dormitory in our new 20 year development program is going along quite well. The Lion’s Club of Taiwan is sparing no expense in construction materials and the manner in which they are constructing the building will guarantee us years of use.

We are very grateful to YuMei Huang who got this all started and The Taiwan Lion’s Club for their most generous gift to our Community.

More fruit trees are being planted and grassy areas are being seeded in front of the school where a large study gazebo will be built. The work is hard and the Sun shows no mercy, but there is always the ice cream man to look forward to.

We are very grateful to our many supporters from around the World who make our life at Wat Opot what it is. We now have 74 children with more on the way and we still operate in the black each month thanks to you.

SOHAM…

  • Wow, it is so amazing to see that pile of bricks going up. The last time I saw them, they were just bricks laying there……….and now
to see them turning into a place of shelter and comfort for the children,
it is heartwarming. The pictures really bring it home for those of us who are so far away from you.
Thank you for such great updates.
I can hardly wait to return…….
    Peace & Light,

    Candie from Canada
