Over the years a group of Taiwanese businessmen led by Mr. Sunny, has provided Wat Opot with so many supplies from snacks to clothes to school supplies as well as financially supported us with monetary donations, trips to the coast, and parties at Wat Opot.

This Chinese New Year they funded a fun, creative and delicious celebration with the kids and staff. The kids got ready for them by colouring almost 100 body segments creating  2 large dragons.

Screams of “they are coming” reverberated across the property as the white vans carrying our guests drove through the gates.  After unloading the many donated items, the games started

and then crafts

but the favorite activity by far was helping to prepare the dinner!

And then eat it!

As the sun went down our frequent visitors danced off their dinner and then for the first time, they were able to join us for meditation – where we gathered to thank them for their continued generosity.

A reminder of the celebration continues today with our property looking a bit brighter.
