Well the new addition of the girls dorm is finally finished! The girl’s dorm is now complete and its 18 young residents and Melinda are enjoying the luxury of their new home. For the previous renovations please click here.
The tile is in place and the appliances bought.
Pheab is measuring for the built in counters he will make. You can see our top of the line architectural designing tools, a.k.a. bricks and booms.
Counters in place and plumbing working!
Next the sea green walls are covered up with white in the hallway and in the kitchen, the girls choice of deep dark blue (they wanted purple but thankfully the paint store didn’t have any!)
With a welcome donation of used kitchen supplies the kitchen is put to the test!
The custom made glass and metal cabinets finally arrived making the kitchen fully functional!
We still have not found the right big kitchen table, but look at the super cool chairs we bought in Phnom Penh.
The bedrooms are finished as well and the newness is wearing off and normalcy is kicking in. Girls are settled into their new rooms after a bout of indecisiveness and change. Who will now sleep with whom and who gets the big rooms?
With the girls getting older and preferring less girls per room, we closed up one large room with a wicker wall to allow for 2 smaller rooms.
All girls bedrooms (5 in total) were renovated with new paint (bright pink was the color of choice!), new ceilings and curtains.
Thank you DACF! We LOVE our new DORM!!
The Watopotians!
