It’s a world of electronics with kids bent over giving their full attention to a tiny screen as the world goes by around them.  And yes, a few of our kids fall into that category, but they are easy to spot…just look for the pod of bodies huddled over and giving verbal support to the one child holding the phone.

Of course, because of modern day necessities, there is always email to check or a FaceBook photo to post.

But as the virtual world can be stopped and started again, the natural one has only moments of time where it is in full bloom.

It’s during these times that kids creativity shines and it’s not only the little ones who develop imaginary culinary masterpieces or beautiful art in the sand, our teens lend their expertise and pass on ways to enjoy the natural world we live in.

One such day using only the freshest local ingredients,

a feast was being prepared outside the girls house,

mojitos were concocted and served at the cafe,

and in the courtyard, our yellow flower trees were in full bloom.
