Let The Games Begin!!

There was no school on Thursday for our primary school kids, so the volunteers masterminded team games to play outdoors. Our fearless leaders Olivia and Kelly, organized the games and broke the children into 4 teams. Some favorites were: tug of war, sack racing, and water balloon tag. Everyone had a blast, and were eager to be winners. When instructions for the games seemed too complicated, we relied on our ‘in-resident’ English>Khmer translator Somnang, who easily helped everyone understand how the games were to be played.
When encouraged, There was lots of laughter, a few tears, and all were rewarded with ice cream for their participation- a perfect ending before everyone was ready for a nap.
