We had fun doing science projects with Rob from California. Somnang 2 and Veasna studied electricity conduction with a plasma light finding that certain things like our fingers and lips work well while our clothing did not. Rith and Shrey Po and many other kids had a blast mixing vinegar with baking soda in a water bottle to produce carbon dioxide to fill our balloons.
It was a bit messy! The balloons were funny because they sank rather than floated. Somnang, Chay and others also explored magnetic energy finding things to pick up with our magnets. Thanks to Maya Miklos from California who put our science things together. The children at Watopot will have fun playing with the plasma light after we are gone!
